Runner beans

My beans seem to be growing up OK but some of the leaves are yellowing. Do they need feeding already? They're only about 9 - 12 inches tall but the leaves are quite large. Any advice would be welcomed gratefully

Ha, I looked your problem up in one of my gardening books, looked under "Bean and Pea Troubles" and found "Leaves - Yellow or yellow patches". Sounds okay so far, but the four possible causes it suggests are:
Downy mildew
Foot rot
Marsh spot
Fusarium wilt
The solutions to 3 of them is to "Remove and burn affected plants" and the other one produces inedible fruit!!

I'm sure what you have is none of these, it's probably just from the cold weather we've had.

I think they've had a chill. It's not as if they are massive plants suffering from a disease. If they're yellow at this time of year, they are a bit cold. Aren't we all!
