I have some nice little plants a couple of inches tall and they are not far off being ready to plant out.
As I understand it, you can plant them close together for salad leaves, or further away for winter/spring leaves for cooking.
I want them to be for winter use, but all of the planting distances on the net seem to vary widely! Anything from 30cm to a metre.
They will be in a very narrow bed, so really only one row is possible, while I want to fit as many in as possible (as all of my brassicas are going to have to fit into this bed), I do want them to grow big... or is it better to plant more and keep them a bit smaller?
Has anyone played around a bit with distances?
