Cucumber query

I have searched the threads and posts but can't find an answer to this question.

I was wondering how many cucumbers to grow in each bucket/container

I have bought some very large deep containers and a plastic grow house.
I know cucumbers get tall and I need canes to support them but do I stick to one cucumber seedling per bucket or is it ok to plant 2 or three in each one?

I planted 8 seeds in a tray on my windowsill and all 8 have come up and are about 2 inches tall with just 2 leaves at present.
I know I'm being a bit previous yet but I'm trying to plan out my space.

Without knowing how big your containers are, it's hard to answer.

Unless your containers really are huge, you should only plant one per container. If you're planting in gallon buckets then definitely one per bucket.

If they're big, you could possibly get away with planting one cucumber for every square yard of surface area, but that's pushing it a bit.

I have a 75 litre plastic flexi tub in the corner of my green house. I have 3 cucumbers in it and they have more than enough room to grow and spread. I also have a triangular growing frame for them to scramble up.

Those flexi tubes seem to be quite cheap at asda at the moment

I bought 3 in the Range for a tenner....but when I went back to buy more they had sold out, apparently going like hot cakes!

Ooops sorry, they are the black Asda ones (2 for £5) and are 14" across by 14" deep.
I'm guessing one per tub then.

They are Tasty King cucumbers and I was just watching a re-run of The Edible Gardener where she grew them up clematis netting outdoors, so am off to research whether that variety is outdoors or not...but any quick answers would be welcome before I click on google. I seem to have lost the seed packet.

I have a small one of those which I use when weeding or de stoning. I never thought of growing anything in them...DOH
