I am growing my toms in growbags/ring pots (home-made) this year and wondered it this would be a good idea for the 2 cues, 2 peppers and aubergine too. Tomatoes are planted but I will hang on with the others to see how you all advise
I do peppers and chillies in ring culture as well as toms and think I've done aubergines too. For some reason always tend to do the cucs in pots although will be doing some direct in the border of the polytunnel this year.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I did Google it and Harrods Horti. do recomend cues as well so I think, tomorrow, if there are no anti posts then they will all go in that way. Thanks.
I know this is a pretty late response (or rather question)....but did you end up using the rings for your cucumbers? How did it go? Did the cucumbers like it?
okay... really daft question then - how are they different to just planting directly in the grow bags? The only added benefit I can see if the outer ring to be a resivour of water? Surely the same effect can be done by a drip watering system?
