There is a telegraph pole covered in ivy in there too, plus a seedling sycamore - I've just popped out to check and two of our local kiddie mafia pulling a leaf off so we had a quick nature lesson on the sycamore leaf and then they said how nice my roses are this year!!! Youf, eh?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Ahaa! Your pictures were brilliant so I have now seen some proper elderflower! I will be out tomorrow to pick some and make some proper brew and not weed champagne!

Delivering around Swansea yesterday noticed plenty of elderflower about. Not whole trees covered as yet but enough to start some champers off.

This cannot be true! Can the elderberry pick and choose where it displays. I so wanted to be first but as the saying says "you cannot have everything". But, "the very best is worth waiting for" lol.

We've got about 20 around our village here in the Midlands; all with the first flowers.

Interesting that it didn't start in the South and work Northwards.

                        Hmm.....

Yes, that surprised me too Zaz.

Just coming into flower here, but only in the sunny areas.

Mine is about 1/4 just about opening...80% are tight gree flower heads-and the same in the hedgerows- so it's nothing to do with my trees exposed location
