I tried them a number of times in the greenhouse but only ever got one proper fruit on each plant.
        So came to conclusion.
        1) It wasn't worth the effort.
        2) GH space could be put to better use ( toms and chillies ).
        3) They eventually become quite cheap on the markets.

I think they need to be warmer than that, I started my squash off this year inside the house on a heated pad. Through in a few days to a week and a half.

I sowed some about 10 days ago on our kitchen windowsill, with a propagator lid over the pots. took about 6 days for firts leaf to show. Ones I had sown earlier in the year took a lot longer!!

We sowed ours about a month ago in an unheated polytunnel, they were up in about a week, and are now in the garden. Although we are in France, the temperature has not been that good in the polytunnel at night.
                  Maybe you should re-sow?
