too late for bean trench?

I started my beans in loo rolls last year, they did ok, but I was advised that it is important to cut up the loo roll prior to planting out as the cardboard roll can restrict the root system.

Did my broads this way left them in rolls, they( the rolls) should rot away in about a month.
Mine have been in since before christmas and are going well.(some now 12" tall)

PS loo rolls rot quicker than peat pots.
