I have just potted on 22 cayenne chilli plants, what on earth do I need 22 for,and eighty odd tomato plants even after I have given loads away
Can't have enough chillies - I have 132 plants in my tunnel - and 90% of their fruits will be used to make a chilli sauce that I make and sell _ tis very popular and I am already taking orders for this year !!

Crikey,am going to stop worrying about the amount I have then Do you sell online,I always love trying new stuff that someone else has made
Like most people, we have quite an abundance of spare plants, having sowed far too many again this year, but the fun part is watching your seedlings come up!
We did our 'neighbourly' bit last year, and had to explain to our French neighbours was a marrow was! They loved our 'Ice Queen' lettuce plants, and the next thing we knew, he was building a little polytunnel at the end of his garden, unfortunately using cheap plastic which didn't last the winter!
We also supplied some other friends (English, non gardeners) with a few items last year and now, low and behold they are getting into gardening although, have put in an order for tomato plants, so that's a few extra bottles of wine for me!
As for selling spare produce here, the French are very much into veg more than flowers, so the world and his dog always have a small 'potager' to keep them going.

I know you've probably posted the recipe before..............but..........any chance of posting it again?
I'm growing a dozen Jalapeno's and a dozen mixed hot peppers of six varieties who's names escape me at the mo, so I am interested in tried and tested recipes!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Sorry but only sell locally
However, if the chilli sauces, beetroot chutney, herb jellies and rhubarb cordial do sell as well this year as last in the much larger qauntities I plan on making, then who knows

Here you go. I cannot claim to have invented this recipe but am uncertain as to it's origin - I did think it might have been posted by another grape on this forum but can't find it other than my mentions of it. Anyway, it's quite excellent - and the good thing is you can easily adjust the degree of heat by altering either the number or type of chilli peppers you add - my recipe below uses Cayenne Peppers.
Spitfire Sauce
1 x Sweet Pepper
10 - 30 Chilli Peppers (adjust to taste - I do the max and include the seeds)
2 cloves garlic
1 onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
150ml vinegar
Roughly chop peppers, onion and garlic and bring to the boil with other ingredients - simmer for 30mins. Blitz and bottle / jar.
Simples!
