for some reason it won't le me reply to threads on my earlier post. so, the rod i used was 10mm twisted steel bar from b&q which cost £8 approx. however if you are lucky enough to have building work going on near you you mught be able to beg one from the house builders! i have made3 tipsy pots now and everything is growing well and they look great.
