Hi All - couple of queries (yup, just a couple this time! ).
Following on from the sweetcorn chitting thread by womble (I think it was?) I placed some on some loo roll sheets (don't use kitchen roll), boiling water - seeds on, clingfilmed.
Put it in the airing cupboard for a day, after nothing happened in 2 days with it on the kitchen windowsil.
Most have chitted fine - some decent roots on them however, I've noticed that there's some mold spores from the loo roll paper, some spores have covered the seeds.
1) I know mould on compost/loo roll inners is ok - but just wanted to check this is ok?
2) Also, can I plonk these directly in the ground, or would it be better to grow on in loo roll holders first, and then once established place out in the sweetcorn bed?
