I have two rows of french beans grown in guttering and planted out recently.
I have one row of kelvedon wonder looking OK
I have tried telephone peas, a tall one. I have re-sown them 3 times and still only a couple come up.

have you tried chitting them first? That way you'll know if they're viable or not

planted runner beans straight into ground last weekend and dwarf beans into raised beds.

You would think by now I would have twigged that June comes so close after May!

Normally I grow beans in guttering and get good germination
Not normally needed to do this with peas.
                    The kelvedon wonder did OK.

My white emergo was my only failure this year, i only had 4 seeds and not one of the buggers came up.

I have planted out the following

                      Runners

                      Scarlet Emperor
                      Polestar
                      Liberty

                      Pole beans

Ruth Bible (thanks Andrea they were in a swap)
                      Hunter (thanks Hazel)
                      Blauhilde (thanks Hazel)
                      cherokee trail of tears
                      cannellini
                      borlotti
                      Polish (thanks hazel)
                      blue lake
                      wonder wax

                      Bush

Zuni (thanks Andrea they were in a swap)
                      Anasazi - see above
                      ying yang
                      borlotti
a pea bean from the lost gardens of heligan - have no idea of name as given to me and only one has germinated so am saving the whole bush for seed.

and to be honest there is approx another 4 types of bush bean i am growing and i cannot remember the names and the same for another 3 types of pole beans

I think i have become bean obsessed

Sowed my Scarlet runners, White runners, climbing Borlotti and Tesco's butter beans today around an 8 pole wigwam.
Emptied all four packets broadcast around the wigwam the pushed them in with my finger. Old seed, hence the reason for sowing full packets!

I had sown 3 lots of french bean ealier so the bush beans are planted but the climbers are still to plant when I decide where I'm putting them!

All my climbing beans are now planted out but I have 3 root trainers worth of bolotti beans to plant out this weekend. However had a few problems last year with French beans and didn't end up sowing the ones that I eventually planted out until about nowish and had really good crops so don't worry

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've nearly moved all the onions out of my future bean patch [which was also last year's but never mind].

So, I've got some to go in this weekend, and the ones sown last weekend will be popped into any spaces as they grow.

I'm also having problems with pea beans germinating.....meh
