I've been waiting for some good rain for ages and it came; finally.

My plants were also slurping up the goodness and everything seems to have doubled in size over the past few days!! I even found some peas about 3 inches long

          Well I never !
Been calling it chickweed for 50 years.
Had a surf and bittercress is the one.
Still not too old to learn something new.

          £$"%" chickweed
          it will be
          £$"%" bittercress

Not only have my plants benefitted from the rain but I have now got about 600 ltrs in my water butts which have been empty for well over a week now. Hope it rains for another day to fill them completely and save on tap water wich is on a meter and I hate having to use.

Been showers here today but I carried on outside through the rain as I had plants that needed planting and no other day to do it! Rain is great though, saves me getting the watering can out.

Sadly our garden needs much much more.

After yesterday, my first IBC tank has finally filled up to its 250gallon mark, but that still leaves me with five empty ones.

What is incredible though, is just how a bit of rain can totally transform a garden of slow growing veg, into rockets!!

It has been raining here like a monsoon, huge downpours and huge raindrops.
Really pleased though as the lottie was parched. Not been up since Sat as had meetings at school every night this week, plan to get up tonight if it isn't tipping it down again just to check on things.
Toms outside going great guns have doubled in size since weekend, trouble is i reackon the weeds will be happy about all this rain too, docs seem to love it and don't get me started on couch grass!!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

Been raining for a good 5 days here now....plants are loving it but my list of things to do has now grown exponentially (like the weeds!!) and I can't get out to actually do any of it! Also my pumpkin has grown triffid like in the last week thanks to all the rain and is slowly taking over the garden......
If it ain't broke...fix it til it is!

It's rained that much here that my bean seedlings are rotting at the stems *cries*. On the plus side though everything really has grown.

Wish I'd managed to sort out water butts though...
