Shallots/Onion Sets - half price in my local gc

Any use now? They have a few spuds with 50% off too - that'd make them around £0.70 -> £1 / bag of shallots/sets/spuds..

quite tempted, but obv don't want to waste te money if their growing season (specifically the shallots) is going to be too short?

Would the Onion sets and shallots keep ? in a dark dry place ... for next season ?

I bought some last year about this sort of time and they did ok - not great but a decent crop!

And you can dry the shallots keep over winter and resow next year too so any tiny ones won't be wasted!

May give them a whirl and keep them in a room that's unheated - pretty cool in there int he winter - cheers.

Personally I wouldn't bother. Bit too late to get a crop this year, and they tend to dry out if you store them.
