Courgettes... typical

Female flower, female flower, female flower. No male flower.

(Actually the first female did get fertilised and we shall have our first courgette of the season tomorrow!)

On another topic I also spotted bumble bees pollen raiding my broad beans, as predicted by Two Sheds. Curious, if not exactly promising.

I've never had more than half a dozen courgettes off any plant I'd love to know what a glut was like

mine are all male flowers asweel atm. i did plan on having 2 plants so they could pollinate each other but my second plant died

quite nice dipped in batter and shallow fried.

Its all male flowers at first and soon the female ones will follow and then you'll be knee deep in courgettes

I must admit to being a bit perplexed. On my 5 plants that are flowering, all have been female flowers so far, all but one have been pollinated by the looks of things.
Pretty sure there is no one else close to my garden with courgettes and they are not F1 self fertile plants.
