Veg growing .....A game of two sides

Went up to the lottie today. Having a good look round as is my habit when I first get there I noticed that:-
Sweetcorn leaves ragged probably by the local pigeons
Runner Beans all now decapitated by god only knows what about a foot up
Beetroot that I know had germinated seems to be disappearing
Broad beans seem to have stopped flowering
Peas poor germination
Courgettes , gherkins, toms, bns and cucs seem to be standing still
But on the up side I brought home :-
potatoes
strawberries
rhubarb
gooseberries
broad beans
lettuce Cos and lollo rosso
Spring cabbage
....and that kinda evened things out having sunday dinner with our own freshly picked veg

Yup, generally speaking it does kinda even out My blue something radish (forgot name) are being eaten off but the bog standard ones (Something globe?) are thriving, just as well I'm not fussy.
