I use it in my garden and get a 3 pack treatement which is sent out each time a new treatment is due. Works great for me but I think it only treats the slugs in the soil, Keel slugs, and not the ones that slither about on the surface. However, I think those are supposed to be the worse ones for plant damage. I water it inbetween the plants even thought they are now bigger.

Yeah, first time I used it was in the back garden and there was more than enough from the small packs but no chance on the plot which is about 12m by 25m so theoretically we should use more than the big pack if we wanted to cover the whole site but I've tended to just target the beds and ignore the paths and soft fruit area which is better. As far as how long it lasts, they will last a lot longer if the soil is wet so I have my suspicions that the recent very dry weather has caused the nematodes to die off quicker than if we'd had more consistent weather.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

It's immensely effective. The down side is that it's quite expensive. Personally, I use one batch early on in the season and use it on my most important vegetable beds and that keeps the population down massively. I think 4 applications a year is what's needed for full protection. If money were no object, I'd definitely buy enough to cover all my beds all season. I find them to be more effective than any other method.

As for snails, my understanding was that they weren't proved to be effective for snails. However, in my experience, I've found beds that have been treated with Nemaslug have been free of both slugs and snails. I also notice that this season, a lot of suppliers have been claiming effectiveness for snails whereas previously they didn't. I suspect that there may have been recent scientific evidence that proves their effectiveness for snails as well.

In short, I highly recommend it if you can afford it. There is no more effective treatment for slug infestations.
