Tomatoes - now fruiting but bottom leaves yellowing

The first trusses are setting on my tomato plants - all is looking healthy except on two plants the very bottom leaves have (or are in the process of) turning bright yellow. The rest of the plant in both cases, stems/leaves etc look perfectly lush and healthy. I commenced tomorite feeds today.

Anyone know what could be causing the yellow leaves (which I have now removed)?

most likely lack of magnesiums in your feed

This does happen with tomatoes. The lower leaves have served their purpose and can be snapped off. This will improve air circulation round the plants too.

It's often recommended that you remove the leave up to the first truss when the plants are in good fruit. So if you've removed your yellowing ones you've certainly done no harm.

Trusses setting? Mine haven't even got any sign of trusses yet! Should I be worried?

No need to worry StephenH. Chances are they will form some trusses soon enough. The weather hasn't been consistently warm, so the toms will take a little time to catch up.
