Onion Help

I was given a big bag of onion bulbs, there were no instructions or even a description of what type they are. All I was told was that they were defo onions lol When would be the best time to plant and how?

Stick them in now, and just eat them small as salad onions

Lots of people are buying onion sets now, they're being drastically reduced in the shops. For 10p (or free) you might as well bung them in. I've got a bag of them that I've been saving for the school's garden club (which still hasn't got off the ground).

Snip the leaves as you would chives, and use any bulb that develops in a salad.
