Hi All, quick question: why do some courgettes start to rot where the flower is attached? The first one on my biggest plant has just started to go bad at the join...it was taking an age to develop any way. the plant is in a large pot in the greenhouse and has a few more courgettes coming on it. Should I cut off the rotting one and what can i do to stop any more going the same way?

Bet you'd all love to see a "non-quick" question eh?

Mine are the same the first few always rot as they are not pollinated, wait for a few more male flowers and bees or pollinate yourself ! works well

Thanks guys, I did try to pollinate it myself, but the male flower I used had been closed a couple of days. Think I'll put this one on the patio and let nature do it's thing! Thanks again...

Cut off the rotting fruit and put the plant out in the fresh air.
