    Where have my bored bean flowers gone? I can see where they were attached and they're not on the ground so what little pest have I got to deal with now please ?

        No Chris, if you read back through forum posts, you will see that a lot of us refer to broad beans as bored beans - dunno why, but it's stuck.

                    That was my first thought but I'd expect to see the flowers on the ground , it looks like somethings bitten them all neatly off.

                      There is a type of bee that cuts through the back of the flower to get the pollen, kills the flower. I had problems with my runners last year. Couldn't work out what it was until I saw the litlle bu**ers at work.
                      Maybe the blooms are brown and shrivelled on the ground and you can't see them.

                        Could be the culprit then. We've had loads of different bees as they're round the raspberries like the proverbial.........
