  • Cucumber diagnosis please!

Can anyone tell me what is wron with my cucumber crystal lemon? My indoor cucs are looking good, but these outdoor ones look pretty poorly.

Any ideas whats wrong is it a deficiency? The leaves are quite crispy feeling when you touch them? I was really looking forward to tryiing these too

Mine look a bit like that, but are growing some impressive cucumbers now (they are my pride and joy), they've been having growmore and tomato plant food and that seemed to cheer them up a bit. Saying that our allotment is an absolute suntrap and it's like being in the med most of the time so I think that's helped them along.
Could try warming yours up by putting a cloche over the top; if you put a bottle of water in there as well it creates humidity so like being in a greenhouse but without the drying out?

Wel they are in pots outside in the garden, and it has been a mixed bag of weather as you all know! So thanks thought it was something horrible! Dont have a cloche, maybe I could make one out of clingfilm round a frame? Or I have some fleece?

        Really hope it picks up!

        Ill have a look see.....x

If they're in pots then it could be hunger. Mine were definately far happier after being planted in the ground and fed, even though they'd had food whilst in the pots.

Not the same problem:- my cucumber plants look very healthy (marketmore & prima) & started developing cucumbers 4 weeks ago but they are just not growing any bigger.
I removed the bottom cucumber in the hope that things might speed up & have fed tomato food but nothing appears to be happening,
There are 4/5 tiny cucumbers on each plant.
            Should I remove some more?

Re pots, I also have two varieties in the polytunnel, and they are lush and have a good amount of fruit developing. Whereas the outdoor pot ones are in difficulty. Cant really put them in the ground though.
