Did you ever use roundup Binbags?

No , the only thing I've ever used is comfrey tea , organic slug pellets (from ryton) and an organic pest spray. We did manure the bed , but like I said other stuff is fine. The bed with the courgettes had loads of manure on which wasn't dug in and they've been good .

        Very odd innit.

I'd make sure that the area gets a really good dig over and possibly some green manure over the winter and see if that germinates and grows normally and keep those fingers crossed.

Next year it'll be the brassica bed......... But the beans are producing even tho' they're still getting funny leaves. We've been eating them with no adverse effects ( so far , fingers crossed)

Yeah, just don't bother saving the seed for next year's plants, it might do the same again.

Naw, I'm trying some different ones next year (Courtesy of wyevale half price sale ) Some yellow podded and purple podded. It'll make it easier to see them to pick . The chilli beans that I was so kindly given seem to be doing well .

Yes, no problems at all. The beans and peas were in that bed this year and no signs of any problems like that.
I've even used masses of manure from the same supplier (when you've got a friend who keeps horses and can get you as much as you can carry for nothing, the odd infected plant is a small price to pay).
