Feeding plants with tomorite

Hi guys

I have just watered and fed all of my veg plants (none of them are doing very well) Courgettes, chilli's, aubergine, peppers and tomato's. Should any of these not be fed with Tomorite tomato food?

My courgettes in particular don't seem to be doing much.... what to do??? I know that others are picking courgettes and have tomato's coming... v fed up with this...

Are you feeding them before fruit has set? I think that if you do, it creates for lush growth and not so much fruit.

But once they are fruiting, I feed chillies, courgettes, aubergines and peppers with tomato feed. Mine is just the cheapie wilko's one

Hi JB , MyGH veg is doing well but my courgettesand tomatoes outside aren't so on some excellent advice I've bought some seaweed feed to give them to see if that helps. Usually tomorite you use when fruit starts to set (I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong )

dont worry about your courgette. It's probably spending some time establishing itslef, and it'll explode before long

I don't feed chillis, it reduces flavour and heat. They like being stressed by dryness and competing with each other in the same pot.....................cram them together, let them dry out and make em work!

Would you feed sweet peppers ?

This is my first year growing peppers and chillis and I have recently started feeding them ( basically because the mix is already in the can from doing the toms ) and I have each plant in approx 5 litres of soil

I wish I knew this a couple of weeks ago as I put each chilli and pepper into its own flower bucket but measured 5 litres of soil into each using my one and only 5 litre pot.
I could have saved space, compost, time, and make watering easier.

All my chillis and peppers are forming their first fruits should I leave them as they are or cram them in pots as you recommend.

I only do it because of space and money...................you'll probably get bigger peppers than I will. I just garden within the constraints I am in. Good Luck!

I know this is the general wisdom, but I've found I get bigger hotter and more flavoursome chilis with bigger pots. What I do do is delay potting things on until they are really potbound.
