  • rain, glorious rain

After months with barely a drop of the stuff it is now raining steadily and has been for the last couple of hours.

Number one water butt is full and running off into number two.

Things will certainly perk up after this but I'm dreading the inevitable explosion of weeds

I'm starting to think that an explosion of weeds will help disguise plants from ariel attack. Seems to work for the oldies.

Raining here in Newcastle. I smiled when I first heard it out the window. It's strange as it's my first year growing and never used to wish for raain. Still wish it would be sunny during the day and rain during the night though.

I tried jogging, but I couldn't keep the ice in my glass.

Please send it down here - just for a while.

Gonna do a Ginger Ninger if it does turn up.

We've had about 3 spots and now it's gone away again My poor onions and garlic are getting a bit desperate and I just don't have enough in the butts to water the whole 9m x 3m bed....

we finally had some rain last night- not a lot, but much needed. all of the farmers around here are making onimous noises about food and grain prices going up because of the dry weather.

Well we had about 1-2mm, very disappointing.

Butts all empty and on the hose now. I don't water often, but some stuff needs more and things are starting to suffer now.
I've grown some brassicas in front of a brick wall, big mistake, they wilt badly on these hot days and need constant watering.

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

                              It's spitting here now.
Our forecast has changed from "chance of rain" last night, to "chance of storm" and rain all day.
