cucumber novice

i've never grown cucmber plants before but i'm giving it a go this year. my plant has taken off really well but what i don't know is, should i nip out side shoots above a leaf or is this where the flowers grow from?

This is also my first time growing cucumbers. I've just let the plant get on with it up a trellis. It has loads of baby cucumbers growing from the main stem and the side shoots, of which there are also loads!

Just let it grow where it wants to and give it something to hang on to.

Keep in mind also that with some varieties you need to remove the male flowers.
