  • Nettle tea as insecticide

I have just made my first batch of nettle tea to use as a feed on some plants.
Luckily, it is well away from the house as it really does pong, which I was warned about.

I have read that some people use it as an insecticide, diluted at 7 to 1. Have any of you tried this and what were the results?
Also apparently neat, it can be used as a weed killer, so I presume you have to be careful how strong it is.

I've never used it as an insecticide, I thought it was only a repellant. I use rhubarb tea for insecticide (and the leaves for worming chickens).

Never heard of nettles as a weed killer either. I make nettle and comfrey tea for fertiliser.
