hi again another question. got two Yellow Scallop squash with flowers on short stems but ca.nt see any fruit. where to look? and what to do if i find them. mackemdad

They come behind the flowers but generally speaking the first few flowers will be male - they will be on a long thin stem. The flowers with a thicker, slightly swollen stem, are the ones that will set fruits. The swelling behind the flower will be the squash if it gets pollinated by a male flower. It all comes together after a week or two of disappointing males. (I don't mean that like it sounds!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
