Fruitless Courgette

Hey im noobie here but i have a question. I planted my courgette plant about 2 months ago and the bush has grown really big the leaves are huge but there are still no signs of any flowering. How long does it normally take for the plant to flower ?

I can't help with the courgettes because its my first year with them as well, but I do know that its the male flowers that come along first then after a bit the female ones arrive. Then they seem to produce a couple of courgettes every other day.

Sounds as if it has been too comfortable and well fed. Where is it growing?

Ditto what Rusty said: esp. don't feed them anything nitrogen rich. Mine are small, but fruiting. They are struggling a bit in this heat, and I'm struggling to keep them watered, but I'm getting a courgette a day off them.

i have 2 or 3 courgettes dotted around the garden. i have been getting loads of male flowers but not one female/fruit so far which is a bit frustrating. maybe this cooler/wet weather will kick them into life?!

I hve courgettes and marrows in lottie. The courgettes are only producing male flowers at the mo but the marrows are full of small marrows. Until the courgettes start producing I'll just use the marrows as courgettes!

give the plant a bit of high phosphorus fertilizer.
