When to harvest peas

First year for me so unsure of quite a few things.
I have Kelvin wonder peas with lots of pods on, most of them quite big and fat, I would of thought they are ready to be picked but just wanted to make sure, is there any indication of any kind that I should be looking out for?
Also have sugar snap that are forming well, same question regarding these.

Having fat pods is a pretty good indication

Sugersnap I believe you can pick any time the pod is fully grown.

If you leave sugar snaps too long they will go stringy and you have to shell them rather than eat the whole pod. If the pods are fat get picking and eating, you will get more that way.

With regards proper peas, different varieties can look quite different but still be ready. If I have a new variety I tend to pod a few at intervals until I find how I like them - ie big enough that they're worth having but still lovely and sweet as I hate them starchy. Love fresh peas, need to pop up to the lottie tonight to get another bucket full as was ill over the weekend so didn't get there.

Smaller peas are sweeter. This is the best excuse to try a few!
