    Quite shocked - in a matter of a day, from a flat lying sweetcorn - it's grown pretty much up in a bend to get to the light. Only noticed when I propped it back up

    WRT the yellowing sweetcorn.. I don't personally know - has it been dry where you are? I think they're pretty thirsty crops?

      When you see sweetcorn growing in the fields in France they are a lot closer together than the spacing recommended on the back of seed packets etc., Next year I'm going to try a closer spacing. It must work for the farmers else they wouldn't do it.
