Oh be real careful to avoid using tomato-esq fertiliser as it encourages more leaves not flowers on sqash

      Errr, is that right?

I would have thought exactly the opposite.

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

I have been feeding mine tomato feed for a month or more and all four plants are producing little squashes - lovely they are too!

Shouldn't do. Tomato feed is basically potash which encourages flowers and fruiting. I use it on all my tomatoes and squashes, half strength every other watering (bout twice a week for me).
