I am so excitied!
I had pulled my spuds up and wasn't sure what to put next as I have already got the usual suspects planted for winter veg. This is my first year so everything possible has been in at the earliest time (will learn for next year!). So after a quick plant of some borlotti beans, I was having a lurk and saw some threads about square foot gardening and thought well why not? So have plotted a 3ftx3ft bed and in the nine squares I have anything that i thought i could get away with planting in July according to my seed packets so have got:
1 x savoy cabbage
4 x kale/chard/spinach
16 x beetroot (really 16, but that what was recommended)
16 x radish
16 x carrots (autumn king)
16 x leeks (hannibal)
4 x lettuce/mizuna
16 x spring onion mix
16 x parsnip (gladiator)
Am really excited to see what happens!
