  • So whilst I was away for two weeks.... :(

    I had friends watching the plot for me and watering etc. The toms and chillies etc in the green house are doing amazingly. Radish etc all fine.

    But, the Brussels and Broccoli flowers have allll been eaten by bugs. I assume they will not recover and make new ones like some plants do

    On the plus side, we have more summer squash than we can use. Next year I will not plant 7 plants!

    Providing the very centre of the plant is still intact,it will slowly recover,but,give them a clean up with water,as in spray,then you can see better what state they in,they maybe also need a close weave netting for protection against birds and butterflies,i use grit around mine to help keep slugs of,as the plants get established i also remove one or two lower leaves,just so nothing draging on the ground,if it's catterpillars,squish,there are lots of threads on the very subject,on the search,that will throw you more info and advice,best of luck
