When I harvest my leeks, I don't pull them up. Instead, cut the stem about an inch below the soil. The leek will then regrow and you can eat it again! The front leek in the photo has been done this way, and regrown, as you can see from the cut-off leaves

Wow, thanks Two Sheds, I've never heard of that. Someone on the vine did tell us last year that they had cut down broad beans & got a second crop but I've not heard of doing it with leeks, you can probably keep them going all year round that way can you?Into every life a little rain must fall.

Cut the half of a cuce that you want to eat, cover the end with clingfilm and leave it attatched to the plant and it will keep growing, great if you dont need a full cuce at a time!Blessings
