I've found that frozen carrots go mushy, frozen broadies turn black after a few months, but frozen French beans, sweetcorn and peas are fine for a year or more... unblanched

Well done on your bean harvest,I never blanch things either,nice to know the big bean seeds will freeze,i lost mine stored in jars,they went smelly,and yes they were dried first,so hello freezer.Last edited by lottie dolly; 29-07-2010, 11:03 PM.sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these
