Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

Yes I did but only after contacting the seed manufacturer and they confirmed that they should be grown as a cordon.

        hmmm...interesting.
I've grown mine as bushes, 14 of them, taken about 6 fruits with BER off the lot of them.
Wonder if there's any difference in the growing.

Interesting Taff - mine with BER (orange Banana) are elongated fruit and I've had problems with San mazano in the past.

I've got a San mazano in the Polytunnel which I've let get bush like. It doesn't seem to be determinate (maybe semi - determinate) and it's shaping up to be more productive than if I'd grown it as a cordon, plus no BER

I've grown Inca for the first time this year. It is also small (sausage) shaped.I have 2 plants and both of them have BER. They are growing side by side with a lot of other varieties and are being watered and fed in the same way as the rest of my crop.
I think some varieties are just more susceptible to this disease

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

seafood compost will help with getting sufficient calcium to the plant to help prevent BER.
