Hey guys, Ive been growing a atlantic giant pumpkin with only 1 successful pollination and now that pumpkin is pretty big probably 30-40cm in diamiter? Is it still good to eat and if so should I take it off the vine straight away?

your pumpkin is only just starting if its30cm across,as its the only one on the plant the plant will divert all its energy into this pumpkin,you will still need to feed the plant to keep it healthy,and it may yet set some more pumpkins,but they are not usually ready to harvest till just before the frosts,which in my neck of the woods won't be until at least september.the pumpkin will darken in colour and sound hollow when ready.
Incidentally atlantic giant is currently the variety holding the record for worlds largest pumpkin at over 900 pounds.don't be afraid to innovate and try new things
