RustyLady you have enlightened me with the 'Frass' info!! I think you may have also found the answer to my 'weevil' (although I wasn't sure if they were 'evil') issue too (I'd searched for beetles instead). Looking at that link, I think I have 'Clay-coloured Weevils' on my raspberries. Looked very cute and curious (I never thought I would call a bug that) as they didn't budge when I moved the raspberry plants about and seemed to be staring back at me..... so I left them (note to self - don't do this!!) until I could find anything else about them - now they'll get a shot of the watering can if I see them again on the plants! Dawndaisy, I hope you manage to get rid of your weevils too!
