Hi Alison, welcome to the Vine. Where is your courgette growing and how big is it? In a tub, pot or open ground? And whereabouts are you? If you go to your profile you can enter your location and it will then show up on your posts (saves us keep asking you). Your plant should soon start producing male and female flowers.

Thankyou for your prompt reply. My cougette is in a 20 inch trough planter. I have had it in a greehouse but have just put it outside today as a friend advised me to do this he grows them too. Im in Swinton in Manchester. I will go fillin my profile. I have only just this morning registered with this site after reading all the replies to problem people have growing.

You've done the right thing putting it outside - only tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and chillies need to be inside in August
They are thirsty plants.
