First time this year for me is Potimarron and garlic. My garlic was a big disaster and rotted away but the potmarrion seem to be very sucessful cant wait for them to be ready and get them in the pot, Ive never tried them before.

This is my first time growing anything.
Good:
French beans. Not only are they cropping well, I found I actually like them!
Cucumbers: The budgie loves them
Potatoes: Taste so much nicer than shop-bought ones
Bad:
Onions & garlic: Didn't grow very big
Pumpkins & squash: no pumpkins or squash so far...

First year on my lottie so chuffed with everything (except the parsnips which didn't show and the pak choi which bolted).
My greatest successes though have been:-
1. Cauliflowers - a dodgy start as the first two went to seed but they were followed by about 20 beautiful creamy, tight heads which were SO delicious, and
2. Goldensweet mange tout - they just keep on coming and I will never get tired of them. Not many of them make it home as I can't resist eating them straight off the plant. (Many many thanks Flummery - now I just need to know how to save the seed for next year ).
Thanks to all the grapes who have patiently answered my daft questions over the last few months, and to those generous souls who have kindly sent me seeds. Without the vine I wouldn't have had such wonderful crops and so much fun with my growing.
