Marris peers spuds

Some of my Maris Peers grown in bags have what looks like scabs on the outside and when cut in half they look blotchy if that makes any sense.

I would like to post a photo but cannot get the idea how to do it.

I posted a picture a few weeks ago of my pots, also Maris I think. Similar sounding blotches inside, some scabby, some not. Scab doesn't affect the flavour etc, just peel/scrape away but no one could identify the inside problem. To be honest I have used them for mashing and roasting with no ill effects. Had to pick a few small dark lumps out of mash but nothing too much.
