  • Indian summer?

We could have done with all his recent rain in May and June when the tatties were bulking up but never mind, I've filled the two water butts and every receptacle I can find in anticipation of the long, dry Indian summer that we're going to get.

Still not a lot of rain here, but it has been the lack of sun.
Must have had eight weeks of solid cloud.

It will all clear up in time for the children to go back to school, (England only) as always! Watch out for a lovely week beginning the 1st Sept!

During spring and early summer I was praying for rain has everything was struggling in the garden, including me! Now I'm just longing for a dry day after weeks of rain. I'm never satisfied

Well whenever the sun does shine again it will be too little too late for my garden. I just cannot wait to have a complete tidy up. Out with the old and wait till next spring for the new. "When do I want it..I want it now".

im in the same boat, another two weeks sunshine should see my melons ripe, but winter has arrived,11 deg for most of today, thats the temp we should be getting at night, forecast for tonight = 8 deg max, even after living here nearly ten years,i hadnt realised that summer ended 2nd week of august...that must be what they mean by global warming...warm for london ,cold for the rest...

We huddled in the tent as a tornado went through. I can understand why people won't holiday in Britain, but we try to make the most of it. The kids enjoyed themselves, we just drank wine

At least I know my new tent is waterproof - pitched it in the garden a few days ago to keep the grandchildren amused and it has rained (heavily) every day since.

Mine either, as one pair of leaves grew, the pair under them shrivelled over and over again
