I'm a little confused having just emptied 3 sacks of spuds. For some reason one of the sacks compost was moist & the other 2 were really dry. The moist sack produced 3 tatties yet the dry sacks produced a carrier bag full. The confusion lies in whether tatties need watering. Thanks for any answers.

Ah, I'd love to know the answer to this too as I have four bagfuls of growing tatties, supposed to be ready for Christmas. I've never grown them before and am a bit confused about how often to water them!

I was thinking the same Shirl, maybe I had a few poor seeds in the moist sack that didn't perform.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Those in the dry sack had probably 'drunk' it all.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
