    Interesting. Maybe your Dalek is quite warm down there. We still have some earlies in the ground as we did this time last year and they deffo haven't sprouted.

      I read in another magazine to keep them in the fridge for 3 weeks (not too cold though) and that should start them off.

      Fortunately I've found some I forgot to plant earlier which have chitted beautifully behind the greenhouse staging!

      I may experimentally shove some fresh ones in a bag.

        I always thought they must need a long period of dormancy before growing again, hence volunteers coming up the following year. I just found a couple of my desirees that I dug up about 6 weeks ago had started to sprout though. Not impressed with that! I don't know if maybe some light was getting into the box where I am storing them, they aren't in a "cool" place either as we don't have one.
