My Lautrec Wight arrived today from Mr Frotheygill (I know!) and the 2 bulbs had 20 very large cloves and 8 smaller ones - the same variety went in last year and grew ok but last years bulbs were bought from Wyevale and were not as big as the bulbs that have now arrived. They will go in next week. I was intending to follow with Solent Wight in spring but on the weekend trip to the supermarket I'll buy a few bulbs and give it a go.

I got my Solent Wight off Ebay - 3 large bulbs for �2.50 and they look excellent. After reading this thread I think I will also plant some shop-bought garlic just in case... can never have too much garlic!
