There's a couple of articles about leeks written by Medwyn Williams here: Articles Archive 2001 | Medwyn's Exhibition Vegetable Seeds and here: Planting leek bulbils or pips, 6th Nov 1996 | Articles Archive | Medwyn's Exhibition Vegetable Seeds that might be some use?
I haven't searched the rest of his site, there may be more if you have time to have a look

I used to show pot leeks many moons ago but got sick of all the ticket selling, leek slashing and hassle. Now I only grow pot leeks for the pot!

What's the best stuff to feed your leeks with? I've been feeding mine on 2-3 yr old cow manure all summer, but they've slowed down somewhat.
