I am SOOO tempted to get one of these....and place some meat inside it before bed.

Have the hose ready for the morning when I come out and find my culprit

Cat Trap, trap man feral cat trap, humane and effective feral cat trap,How to catch a feral cat using the trap man live catch humane feral cat trap cage, The Trap Man. UK manufactures and suppliers of live capture and humane feral cat traps quick UK

A 10 minute cold hard hose soak and some STERN WORDS with the cat ought to make it think not to come back.

Problem is, it is illegal to catch domestic cats - you are only allowed to catch wild "feral" cats. So I guess before you get that trap you have to decide that you reckon you have seen a feral cat in your garden a few times

Alas, I doubt my GF will permit this course of action.

I use the prickly stuff to keep cats off. holly clippings, dried out brambles. Not pretty but effective.

I gave up 20 years ago. We have a fox living 30 metres away from our garden and we can watch the young playing when the weather is good..

Yes they crap in our buddleia patch - and have done so for the past 30 years as far as I know. Good compost. At least they dig a hole first.. They also like raspberries and pears...

They do , however, catch and eat cats - so we have no cat problems...

The badgers just eat the nuts from the birdtable.. and do no other damage...

        Lovely tracks in the snow..

Well, not seen either cats or foxes or their signs for a couple of days. Perhaps my urine really is that pungent! Fingers crossed the garden stays poo free...

          Cheers all.

You may need to top it up every week, especially when it rains.

Our rabbits ammonia-esq urine has done a good job so far so I've not had to get my tackle involved.

I would put up with a fox if it was eating local cats! I'd sit outside with popcorn and cheer the fox on
