Pests: the bad and the ugly

Some tiny black beetley things (mealy aphids?) killed most of my autumn calabrese. Caterpillars finished off the rest.
I'm having a lot of fun collecting slugs on one of the long metal skewers I now keep in the garden. After a little searching you have a kind of disgusting kebab but they can't escape.

MOLES MOLES MOLES!!!!!
They've been everywhere on my plots this year, even in areas where the weeds don't go! The whole area feels like your walking on a trampoline! They've fooled the traps, damaged my fruit bush roots and even pushed up a molehill two minutes after I'd dug over a patch for runner beans!
They're driving me MAD, I say MAD!!
The other pest we've had to endure on our site is thieving scumbag kids jumping the fence and stealing tools, almost everyone's had something stolen.
Makes you want to do a Jasper Carrot job with swivel chair, torch and shotgun!
Other than that, no, I haven't had much of a pest problem this year....

Worst pest?
Neverending rain!
But really, these small black bugs that decimated all the flowers and pollen on all of our plants/vegetables, just after the oilseed rape was cut down in summer. They ruined loads of beautiful flowers and stopped lots of my beans from setting fruit by eating away at the pollen and flowers.
Could not find a solution to them
