When I lived in the Pyrenees, I grew a variety of lettuce which was only to be grown in the winter. I thought it was called "Ice Queen" but I have searched for this on the web and it seems it needs at least a cold greenhouse. Mine grew through the snow and was harvested in the Spring and was the best flavour of any lettuce I have ever grown. Can anyone help me as to variety and where you can get the seeds. Mine were sent to be from England by my daughter, so they are not seeds you can only get abroad.
