Well, I actually tried boiling them again tonight but for MUCH less time. And not chopping them up so small. And it was absolutely fine! I would have tried steaming them, but I had other stuff in the steamer.

And the microwave, er, needs cleaned. Forgot that little job needed done

thanks all- I have a few small ones left so will try again. We don't have a steamer and ermm our microwave sounds a bit like Croila's! Roasted with herbs sounds luvverly esp as their jackets are so attractive. I had just assumed that being earlies they coud be boiled like all the others.

Not any more! Amazing how "cooking" a pyrex bowl of hot water for a few minutes makes microwaves so much easier to clean

Pop a cut lemon in the water & it'll loosen grease and smell nice too
